We are a primary school in Zuera, Zaragoza. We provide a safe and caring environment where children are able to grow, learn and achieve their full potential. 

We are a lovely school with a strong sense of community. We know our pupils well and we are very committed to provide them with an outstanding quality of care and education. We work in close partnership with parents and families as we all share one same goal: we aim for children to thrive as individuals both academically and socially.

Our children are at the heart of our success. We have been educating children since 1930. We believe that every child is unique and our experienced team of teachers offer stimulating, fun and challenging experiences for children to learn and enjoy they learning journey at school.

Nuestra Señora del Pilar is a catholic school where children of all faiths, ethnic backgrounds and ability are welcome. We accept children from 3-6 years old (Infants school ) to 6-12 years old (Primary school). We also have a nursery on the same site offering care and education for children starting from 4 months old.

We believe that English should not be just another subject of the curriculum but a way of learning and communicating in our day-to-day life. English is often spoken in the classrooms and we are in the process of becoming a bilingual school. Our school is one of the first schools in Zaragoza to use the Letterland Phonics approach to teach children read and write in English, as well as using the well known Jolly Phonics programme. 

Beyond the core curriculum, particular emphasis is given to P.E. and to Music. We feel lucky to have an extensive site with big outdoor spaces, football fields, multi-use games area, our own garden where we grow fruit and vegetables, and a new playground for the little ones. We also have a music studio, a PE room, interactive whiteboards, projectors and extensive ICT equipment. There is also a massive project for the conversion of the school library, which will be bilingual (English-Spanish) and which will offer a warm, attractive and engaging place for pupils of all ages.
